Immediately following their win over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, the Montreal Canadiens called up Lucas Condotta from their AHL affiliate, Laval Rocket.
Condotta, the Laval captain, has three assists in six contests this season.
Although Montreal has yet to provide a reason for the call-up, it appears this move is due to Josh Anderson’s departure from the Saturday night game after blocking a shot. He might not make the trip to Philadelphia for Sunday’s matchup.

Meanwhile, Condotta, an undrafted forward, could play in his fifth NHL game this weekend and has just a goal through four games on this resume. Over the past four seasons in the AHL, Condotta has 24 goals and 54 points in 150 games.
