The former Wild forward has done a lot since he retired from the NHL. He published a book in August about his story of overcoming adversity to make it to the NHL, he has worked as a scout for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and now made a hole-in-one at a charity golf event.
On Monday at the Islanders Charity Golf Outing, Moulson sank a hole-in-one, winning the BMW Hole In One Contest.
Moulson, 40, played 20 games for the Wild during the 2013-14 season after the team swung a trade for him at the deadline. He was traded to Minnesota by Buffalo with Cody McCormick for Torrey Mitchell, Winnipeg‘s second-round pick (2014), and Minnesota’s second-round pick (2016).
The first pick was later traded to Washington. They selected Vitek Vanecek in the 2014 NHL Draft. The next pick was later traded to Montreal and later traded to Chicago. They selected Chad Krys in the 2016 NHL Draft.
Moulson played in 20 games for the Wild after the trade where he recorded six goals, seven assists, and 13 points. He had one goal and three points in ten playoff games for the Wild that year as well. Following his 30 games with the Wild, Moulson signed a five-year contract with the Sabres.
He played in four seasons after that with his last season being the 2017-18 season.
