And a meet and greet with Cam Neely.

Nearly 30 Massachusetts high school hockey players – including four from MetroWest/Central Mass. – were named as Boston Bruins MIAA Sportsmanship award winners.

The players had a meal during a ceremony at the Verizon Tower near TD Garden before attending that evening’s 6-2 victory for the Bruins over the Ottawa Senators on March 19.

Between the second and third periods, the players were featured on the Jumbotron above center ice.

“They said there were 27 kids selected. Twenty-seven out of everyone who plays hockey in Massachusetts,” said Holliston junior goalie Caleb Greenberg. “I appreciate it. I’m appreciative of my coaches, the other teams’ coaches for acknowledging that, and also the referees had a say, I heard.”

The award has been handed out since 2002 and goes to student-athletes “for best exemplifying a commitment to sportsmanship throughout the season,” according to the MIAA.

Local winners include:

Betsy Bertonazzi, Algonquin

“She is a selfless player that puts her team first as demonstrated in her willingness to play any position when called upon while constantly encouraging and supporting her teammates,” Algonquin coach Tina Beauchemin said in a statement while nominating Bertonazzi.

“I really try to be the best person I can on and off the ice with my team and just around hockey in general,” Bertonazzi said in a text to the Daily News. “Hockey season is my favorite part of the year and I think just being positive helps through all the ups and downs of a season.”

Bertonazzi volunteers with Best Buddies and is part of the Algonquin Unified basketball team.

“It was such a great experience being around the other girls,” she said. “We all sat together during the game.”
