Joey Plumley scored the game-winning goal with just 39 seconds left in regulation to lead Paul VI/Camden Catholic to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Montclair Kimberley at Flyers Training Center in Voorhees.
Plumley, who registered a hat-trick in the contest, was also responsible for the goal that equalized the game for Paul VI/Camden Catholic (4-1), netting a shorthanded goal with just 2:20 remaining in the third period to make it a 2-2 game. His first goal was in the first period off an assist from Nick Aversa and Cal Busch.
Montclair Kimberley (1-5) held a 2-1 lead after Henry Sun took advantage of a power play opportunity and netted his second goal of the season with 7:45 remaining in the second period. Matt Bonarti also scored a power-play goal in the first period that gave Montclair Kimberley an early 1-0 lead.
Busch finished with three assists for Paul VI/Camden Catholic, while goalie Jake Lenox saved 34 out of 36 shots faced.
