Vote for the High School Girls Hockey Preseason Player of the Year

The winter high school sports season is just getting underway.

That means high school hockey is back. The South Shore is home to some of the state’s top girls programs. Of the eight teams that reached the state semifinals last year, half hailed from the South Shore. Duxbury defeated Canton, 5-2, in the Division 2 state final at the TD Garden. Notre Dame Academy (Div. 1) and Archbishop Williams (Div. 2) both reached the Final Four.

Plenty of last winter’s stars are back on the ice this season. Cast your vote for our preseason player of the year Voting will remain open until Jan. 2. From dominant goalies to flashy forwards and stout defenders, there’s plenty of strong candidates.
