Boys Ice Hockey: Morristown nets six goals in win over Lakeland

Morristown scored three goals in the third period to put the game away in a 6-2 victory over Lakeland, at the Ice Vault in Wayne.

Morristown (3-2-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead after Jackson Byrne and Collin McKenna scored in the first period, and Scott Williams scored the lone goal in the second.

Lakeland (2-2-1) got one back to start the third courtesy of Ryan Giordano, but Byrne scored afterwards to get the lead back up to three. Brian Cole scored for Lakeland to cut the deficit to 4-2, but Brody Toye and Clark Smith scored back-to-back to ice the game for Morristown.

Thatcher Neville made 22 saves on 24 shots for Morristown.
