Ryan VanZile also had a goal to go along with two assists in the game while Connor Francis and Tyler Petersen each contributed a goal and an assist in the win. Gavin Barooah, Just
Justin Katz, and Ben Skutnik each scored, too, and Michael Guadagnino made six saves for the shutout.
Max Badu stopped 28 shots for Vernon.
The game marked the season opener for both teams.
