Women's hockey climbs to No. 13 in this week's Division III poll

The Hamilton College Continentals climbed two spots to No. 13 in this week’s USCHO.com Division III Women’s Hockey Top 15 poll released on Monday, Nov. 21.

Hamilton opened the 2022-23 season by splitting a pair of New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) games at nationally ranked No. 11 Amherst College on Nov. 18 and 19. The Continentals shut out Amherst 2-0 on Saturday after the Mammoths won 4-0 on Friday night.

Claire McGennis ’24 and Nina Shaikh ’24 have the goals for Hamilton while Bobbi Roca ’24 leads the team with two assists. Evie Sheridan ’26 has a 2.00 goals against average and .926 save percentage in 119-plus minutes in goal. 

The Continentals host SUNY Morrisville (1-6-1 overall) for a non-conference game at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22. SUNY Oswego, which received votes in this week’s poll, visits Hamilton on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. for another non-conference contest. The Lakers have won five straight and are 5-3-0 overall.
