Hockey East announced today that Boston College forward Trevor Kuntar and Northeastern forward Aidan McDonough were each suspended for one game stemming from an incident right after their game ended last Saturday.
Kuntar will miss the game Tuesday against Massachusetts-Lowell. McDonough will miss the game Friday against Boston University.
Additionally, Boston College sophomore defenseman Cade Alami and Northeastern senior defenseman Jayden Struble are automatically suspended for one game each as a result of fighting majors and game disqualifications that happened at the same time in that game.
The game was tense throughout. Earlier, in the first period, the teams got into a lengthy scuffle that included multiple misconducts and game misconducts. In all, there were 99 minutes in penalties called in the game.
