The Anaheim Ducks and Seattle Kraken traded blows – quite literally – in a tempestuous National Hockey League clash on Monday.
And while teams at the Olympics argue over putting masks on, in America teams seem to be settling disputes by taking gloves off.
It was Seattle who came away with a 4-3 win, but that wasn’t the only battle that looked close on points after Ducks forward Nicolas Deslauriers and opposing defenceman Jamie Oleksiak became embroiled in a violent punch-up.
After clashing on the ice in the first period, the pair decided to settle matters man to man. Both men ripped off their hand-wear and squared up to each other as if they were in a boxing ring, before Deslauriers got the action underway with a left jab followed by a right hook.
