COLUMBUS, Ohio – In its first road game in two months, the No. 2 Ohio State women’s hockey team shut out Minnesota State, 5-0, at the Mayo Clinic HSEC on Friday evening. With the win, Ohio State improves to 20-5-0 overall on the year, the fifth 20-win season for the Buckeye program and fourth under head coach Nadine Muzerall.
How it Happened
For the second time in as many games, Paetyn Levis scored the opening goal of the game. She collected a rebounded shot from Clair DeGeorge to put the Buckeyes up one on the Mavericks at 5:43 into the contest. Ohio State took the one-goal lead to the first intermission, despite being outshot by Minnesota State, 12-8, in the opening frame.
